What's in it for you?

Allow Healthy Planet to take temporary tenancy of the unit & reduce your outgoings by half.

Charities receive 80% mandatory relief on their rates and a potential further 20% discount.
In return for helping to slash your empty rates costs, Healthy Planet simply asks the following:

1. A tax-deductible, charitable donation to support Healthy Planet’s work.
2. A commitment to ensure our promotional displays are completed and maintained during the tenancy.

Not another charity shop?

Yes & No.

We want to maximise the money raised for Healthy Planet by driving traffic to our website: not opening the doors everyday and incurring day to day running costs.

Through posters and displays, our charity is promoted in a high footfall area, and you have a ‘terminate at will’ lease and instant savings while you continue searching for a long-term tenant. Our lawyers agree that we are unique.

Overall saving 50% over 12 months, plus opportunities to save an additional 28% (see our agreement)

A worked example

Example: Rates = £54,750 pa

Payable to Council: £0

Payable to Healthy Planet:

Payable upfront

- 5% set up costs (based on 100% rates). This is to cover the design, print and installation of the Healthy Planet fit-out.

Pro-rated payments

- 45% pro-rated payment. This is to cover the 20% rates liability and includes a contribution to Healthy Planet.

Landlords will:

- Break-even in under 5 weeks (compared to unit being empty)
- Save £75 per day thereafter.
