- Buy organic when you can. Find products that are free of
harmful chemicals (food, bedding, cleaning products etc.).
- Swap kids' items with friends - this way your kids will get new
items and nothing ends up in a landfill.
- Walk or take public transportation to get around and reduce car
emissions. This is also great exercise!
- Recycle paper, plastic, and aluminium. Always brainstorm with
your kids if an item can be used again before throwing it into the
rubbish bin.
- Use re-usable canvas bags for groceries. Get creative and let
you kids decorate them.
- Plant trees, flowers, and vegetables around your home. This is
also a great way to give your kids responsibilities.
- Start a Compost heap in your garden.
- Conserve water and energy by changing to LED lighting
- Teach your kids to turn lights off when leaving the room and
turn the water off when brushing teeth.
- Make sure your home is well insulated
