If you are looking to implement a project in a
nationally or regionally designated park or public space we may
agree to set up a fund.
Before you decide to apply, please make sure your organisation
fulfils our criteria.
If you are uncertain whether or not your project is suitable,
please contact us because we are fairly flexible and open to new
suggestions. When you have decided to apply please follow the
process outlined below.
- Start by completing this short project proposal
form. Here you describe the site, the issue being addressed,
the work to be funded and associated funds that Healthy Planet
needs to raise.
- The form is submitted for approval by our trustees, who can
view it online using our Google-powered system. If unaccepted, we
will contact you with feedback.
N.B. Approval is dependent on the
credibility and reputation of the bidding organisation,
demonstrated capacity of the bidding organisation to carry
out the work, previous track record of the bidding organisation
with HP Adopt a Plot, likelihood that the bid will have a
significant impact on the area's environment, likelihood
that the bid will have a positive impact on livelihoods, poverty
reduction and sustainable development of local communities,
likelihood that the bid will be of interest to land
guardians, value for money represented by the bid.
- Once approved, we will ask you for any extra information and
photographs for the website, and then your project will appear
under our list of parks.
- Donors can then engage with your project and start the adoption
process. Donors know that they are donating to your predefined
conservation activities which will be implemented once sufficient
funding has been raised to carry them out.
- You will receive all donations that come in to your fund in six
monthly blocks. Funding is long-term and renewable annually
depending on the resources available (i.e. the number of adopters
who continue to support the fund) and progress made in the
project.
- You are expected to feedback results of the implemented project
to the donors annually through this reporting form which
links directly with our website and thus the donors. We also
encourage partners to provide material for our Facebook and Twitter
websites, such as any photographs, videos or comments from those
involved. This way your donors can interact with you, and both
donors and partners can share ideas and information in an online
community of like-minded individuals.
Please note that as a charity Healthy Planet need 10% of
net donations in order to cover our costs, help build funds for
projects, and further develop our technology and user experience.
The remaining 90% is paid directly to your organisation in
6-monthly instalments. Healthy Planet is open to other finance
sharing proposals so long as 90%+ of the net donation goes to the
project and HP's costs are effectively covered.
We also welcome any suggestions of parks which you think
urgently need Healthy Planet's mapping or monitoring services.
Please contact us with the name of the park you believe requires
these services and the reasons for this. Contact Us.
