The sun was shining, the people were buzzing and the books were flying! Before the London Green Fair had even opened at midday, we had given out our first stash of books!
Thanks to all the hard work of our volunteers we were able to giveaway an astounding number of books by the end of the weekend. There was great variety of books ranging from classics to travel guides and every guiness world record book on record! One happy gentleman walked away with a world atlas worth £80!
The event was well attended and we enjoyed being neighbours to the Transition Network stall, who coincidently are helping us to run our Books For Free stall in Kentish Town and using it for Transition workshops and meetings.
We look forward to doing it again next year and strongly recommend other green initiatives to get involved with the London Green Fair 2012!
