North London residents can get rid of their clutter and
unwanted household items and take home what they really need at a
Stuff for Free event being held over two weekends in June and
July.
Healthy Planet's Stuff for Free initiative is being run in
partnership with North London Waste Authority (NLWA) to raise
awareness of environmental issues and reduce the amount of unwanted
goods going to landfill.
Shaylesh Patel, founder of Healthy Planet said:
"Stuff for Free encourages re-use and reduces landfill so
you'll be helping the environment and helping yourself. This is an
exciting development and the largest scale one in the country. With
a greater number of households in North London we are hoping to
exceed our last Stuff for Free event in West London where 1,100
people and community groups helped us to redistribute, for re-use,
over 24 tonnes of stuff."

electrical equipment to be recycled.

Take Stuff
Friday to Sunday, 6-8 July from 10am to
3pm.
Anyone can come along to Voltage Industrial Estate and take
items they want, for free! What's more, they'll be helping the
environment. By re-using things instead of throwing them away,
residents will be helping to save landfill space, reduce fly
tipping and save valuable resources.
Children's activities will be provided on Saturday, 7 July by Green
Peas Events and on Sunday, 8 July by Fabelist.
This event is part of a series of Stuff for Free events across
North London funded by the North London Waste Authority in
partnership with Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey,
Islington and Waltham Forest Councils. It is anticipated that this
series of events will result in a reduction of 200 tonnes of waste
from disposal.
