Plant A Tree Today Foundation

This Thai foundation takes action against deforestation and climate change through tree planting, school nurseries, and environmental education schemes. It also funds community development projects in rural areas, centred on reforestation.

There are 83 globally threatened bird species in Colombia. ProAves works alongside Colombian communities to protect wild birds and their habitats through investigation and directed conservation actions. They maintain habitats of threatened species through their Protected Areas Program.

Instituto Uiraçu

Instituto Uiraçu is a Brazilian non-profit non-governmental organisation whose mission is to recuperate, protect and conserve ecosystems in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, centred around the Serra Bonita mountain range. This region contains some of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in the world, but with over 93% of its original forest lost to the pressures of modern civilisation, they are also some of the most threatened.

The South Georgia Heritage Trust

The picturesque Island of South Georgia is a UK overseas territory in the sub-Antarctic, and one of Nigel Marven’s favourite places (Nigel is a renowned zoologist, wildlife documentary maker and Healthy Planet patron). South Georgia is home to many endangered seabirds, and has been regarded one of the most important seabird islands in the world. The South Georgia Heritage Trust works to promote conservation and protection of the island and its surrounding waters, and to advance public understanding of the island’s history.

WeForest is a non-for-profit organisation based in both Switzerland and Belgium. They work with a wide array of international partners to plant forests, combat deforestation, and encourage reforestation through permaculture, education and conservation. Their motto is: "The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now" (African Proverb).

Friends of Richmond Park

The Friends began in 1961, and became a charity in December of 2009. Friends of Richmond Park is a voluntary society whose objective is to conserve the Park, its natural beauty and wildlife, and to advance public education about the Park. Now with about 1,500 members it helps fund conservation projects, organise educational activities, and work to improve observance of Park regulations concerning wildlife.

Endangered Wildlife Trust

The Endangered Wildlife Trust are a British registered charity. They run a reserve which makes up 1050 hectares of tropical rainforest on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It includes a high concentration of wildlife along its 6kms of beach but its most significant inhabitant is the critically endangered Leatherback turtle.
