Operations Manager
My role is to manage the day to day operations of Healthy Planet, supporting the innovative activities our charity undertakes, by working with both the Healthy Planet team and collaborating with many different partners.
Born and raised in California, I studied Psychology and Politics at the University of Arizona. I then obtained my Masters in Administrative Social Work from San Diego State University, where I refined my skills in strategic planning and programme development with a focus on charities and non-profits. I worked at a non-profit in San Diego, California for five years, developing new programmes for communities in need, but with an itch to explore the world, my partner and I moved to London in October 2009. Due to my passion for sustainable foods, I worked and volunteered at a number of city farms and foodie organisations, before finding a great opportunity at Healthy Planet, first as the Project Coordinator, and now as the Head Gardener (Operations Manager). I am thrilled to be part of such an innovative, environmental charity and enjoy being able to walk to work, as it gives me more time to make a mess in the kitchen, where I love to cook using the wonderfully fresh and nutritious ingredients London has to offer!
