The Year 2 pupils (6-7 yrs) spent the half-term studying the culture and wildlife of Mexico, using tools including BBC's Barnaby Bear and Healthy Planet's free online resources including new, interactive views of NASA images through Google Maps/Earth.
After learning about the geographical features and environmental
issues in Mexico, the children adopted their own plot of land, in a
protected park, and secured an automatic grant for the
school.
"Many thanks for your help on enabling the children to learn
so much."
Ms Jean Shipton, Head, St Peter's Primary
School
"Healthy Learning's flexible and free tools were a fun and
interactive way to bring new Enquiry Based Learning to Year 2; tick
several curriculum boxes; and receive a grant, all in one
go."
Liz Ryan, Year 2 Teacher
