Case Study: St Benedict's Primary School - Our First School Donor |

The School Council (with representatives from each year group) decided that they would like to support Healthy Planet's 'Healthy Learning' initiative. They liked the fact that the School could adopt a plot of land and become a Guardian, making a contribution that could protect wildlife in the area concerned. It was their charitable gift to the planet. A representative from Healthy Planet was also available to help us choose the location, and he will visit the St Benedict’s during the Michaelmas term 2009 to talk to the children at an assembly about how they have made a difference and what else they can do in their everyday lives to keep their planet healthy.
Our staff found it quick and easy to use the online tool, and the plot sizes and locations could be matched to the School Council’s budget. We plan to support the ‘Healthy Learning’ initiative in future, and know that the children will benefit greatly from the whole experience.
